We ended up having a party of 20 for dinner and drinks and James, our waiter, couldn't have been better! We washed these monster burgers down with a couple of mojitos, they certainly had a good measure of barcardi in them, and were very refreshing. Out of all the cocktail bars I've tried in Edinburgh, this is the one I return to most regularly and find most consistent. I wanted to put on my grass skirt and hula till the sun sank into the blood red ocean. Finally, we have designed these glasses to look like an ordinary pair of specs. Surroundings were basic, that said it is listed as a Retro Pub. Face Challenges Entrepreneurs see fear as a challenge. Its a typical bar where business people meet after work on a Friday night.

We promptly moved to bar next door as soon as we could. The boy asked 'how do I eat this? Through the clearing I see hints of pink that confirm a burger cooked medium as requested. The cocktails are awesome, and the bar staff are pretty keen and banterful, always a plus. Personally, I wasn't that impressed. So sue me if I had a Hawaiian ;- This was the posh version of Hawaiian, and very flavoursome too.

Food wise - it is ok. Both pizzas were crispy based and served on a wooden pizza board. After she went away to investigate, she came back and apologised that when our order was made, the till roll ran out and so it wasn't received by the kitchen. It is on the pricey side here, and the clientele are super fashionable again. They have floor to ceiling windows and that creates a visual bigger area. The interior is quite modern with dim lights, wooden tables and chairs and a bar with lots of alcohol offerings. Staff member told us happens all the time but not her prob soon as she was leaving! Our pizzas were huge and very nice.

We were taken to our table as soon as we arrived. After all the team has arrived, the ping pong table doubles as a dining table for us. Everything else was fantastic and we had a really great lunch out. We wanted to develop a product that could help with both educational and professional purposes. I drove the W Motors, Fenyr. She was lovely and handled it really well.

I have only taken a star off as the veggie burger should have come with pesto but on enquiry, their pesto has parmesan in it which isn't veggie! Inside, it's spacious but intimate, and the decoration is fantastic - halfway between classy cocktail joint and Southern diner, which is kind of what it is, really. Again, didn't blow me away and some kind of fruit greenery acted as the garnish so really it looked like I had 'dead stalk' in my drink once it had been in there for 5-10mins. Sigyn is mentioned a second and final time in the ending prose section of the poem. Food is good, music is loud and the staff was wonderful. Presentation is key here, and most of the drinks come excitingly presented - I made a bad call starting with the apple and raspberry cooler because it was pretty much just a standard tumbler, which I soon learned was unusual.

I've also had very good experiences with their pizzas - super thin, slightly charred bases, with good quality stringy mozzarella. Service was super friendly and we were checked in on often. This was my second visit and it definitely outweighed the first.

I wanted a cocktail and the boy wanted a burger, so we compromised on Sygn. Friend was on lunch from work and late back! I went for the ham hock and chargrilled pineapple pizza. It is really interesting and fun, including their great window decorations with bottles and their ornate ceiling. I thought the skinny fries didn't blow me away and could have been much better, but I really did like the burger. Staff was really friendly and service was exceptional fast for a Friday evening. No, and they are served in a wooden tray urgh , but they're tasty and filling and you could do a lot worse! The information provided on this site is protected by U.

Our waiter Lewis was the only good part about our visit, he was rushed off his feet but still managed to look after us well. We all ordered burgers which came with skinny fries in a basket and no side salad so quite basic feeling. Sygn is a great place to have a steak or a pizza. I enjoyed it, but only managed to eat half of the pizza so took the leftovers home. Their chefs produce the finest burgers, pizzas and haute dogs in town. I was split between giving Sygn three stars or four, but what made me choose to be generous was that I really like the decor inside.

Given the age of the clientele they had obviously not considered the customer. Archived from on February 14, 2009. If you are here in a group, I would suggest booking the backroom for your event. Success is often a result of planning. The place generally is quite unkempt and could do with a good clean and a refurbishment. A nice touch is that the bathrooms I really do judge a place by it's toilets. Sigyn, again described as Loki's wife, holds a basin under the dripping venom.
